Matze, what is your personal success?

In January 2019, I started at the impressive weight of 118 kg and was able to lose 18 kilos in four months, passing below the magic 100-kilogram mark. I never thought that I would achieve that goal so quickly.

Why did you decide to begin training with CYBEROBICS?

I’ve been sporty since the age of five. I have also had gym subscriptions, but I was never able to motivate myself to actually pack my sports bag and go. In early 2019, my workplace started a cooperation with CYBEROBICS. I gave it a try and was immediately thrilled!

How did CYBEROBICS help you to achieve your goal?

There are many online fitness providers, but CYBEROBICS really impressed me. You shared my very first Instagram story, motivated me with private messages and promised me new workouts – that was extremely motivating for me. I also thought that it was great that you made CYBEROBICS accessible to all for free during the first lockdown. I’m sure that changed several lives for the better.

Have you already decided on your next goal?

By now, over 2 years have passed and I have lost over 30 kg in total. Instead of goals like “lose weight” or “maintain weight”, I try to make my training more effective and break my own record times. I am convinced that I will never again encounter the yo-yo effect in this life. By now, sport has become a natural part of my life.

Do you have any tips for self-motivation?

Set realistic goals. They don’t always have to be things like “lose 10 kg”, sometimes, “jog 10 km at a stretch” is enough. When your fitness increases, the pounds just melt off by themselves 😉. Tell as many people as possible about your plans and don’t let setbacks get you down. It’s also important to get back into training after the initial muscle aches.
